Mammography: X-rays of the breasts.
• Screening: No new breast symptoms
• Diagnostic: New breast symptoms
* For the best early detection of breast cancer follow the American Cancer Society’s Guidelines:
Regular self breast exam. Yearly visits to your healthcare provider. Yearly mammograms beginning at age 40
Breast Ultrasound: Ultrasound of the breasts.
Breast Intervention Procedures:
• Stereotactic Biopsy
• Ultrasound Guided Biopsy
• Ultrasound Guided Cyst Aspiration
• Needle Localization
• Ductogram
Bone Densitometry:
• Heel Screening is a test for patients with no known osteoporosis risk factors. No
appointment is necessary.
• Hip-Spine exam is for a patient with known osteoporosis risk factors. This exam
must be scheduled.
